Our Story

Lucky Bag is, above all, a family story and a passion for leather goods. It all began well before 1989: Yann, the founder, was already working in Paris's Marais district — on rue de Montmorency, in the heart of the 3rd arrondissement — as a leather goods manufacturer and wholesaler since 1976. More than ten years of artisanal expertise, mastering materials, stitching and finishes.

In 1989, Yann took the plunge and opened the first Lucky Bag store in Provins, in Seine-et-Marne. The business grew quickly: Amiens in 1994, Drancy in 1995, followed by several other boutiques in the Île-de-France region. Today, Andrew — Yann's son — runs Lucky Bag and continues the family legacy in Drancy, at Centre Commercial Avenir.

At Lucky Bag, we do not aim to offer every item in every brand's catalogue. Our role is precisely the opposite: identifying, within each collection, the products truly worth buying.

Because even among leading houses — Lancaster, Lancel, Guess, Karl Lagerfeld, Samsonite — not every line is equal. After decades spent examining hundreds of models, we know how to spot the details that make the difference: the quality of the stitching, the materials used, the finish of the hardware and the strength of the closures.
